Learning Outcomes For the Year K - 3
Term 1
-Develop and Demonstrate Safety and Fair Play (Sportsmanship) in a variety of physical activities
-Participate daily in moderate to vigorous physical activity
-Demonstrate proper technique for locomotor fundamental movement skills such as: running, galloping, sliding and skipping
-Demonstrate the non-locomotor skill of dodging
-Demonstrate manipulative fundamental movement skill of: underhand throw
Term 2
-Demonstrate manipulative fundamental movement skill of: two handed OR one handed catch
-Demonstrate manipulative fundamental movement skill of: bounce and catch OR dribbling with hands
-Explore and describe strategies for healthy eating
-Demonstrate ability to work in team setting (snow day challenges)
Term 3
-Demonstrate manipulative fundamental movement skill of: striking with feet
-Demonstrate manipulative fundamental movement skills using implements: hockey stick, scoops
-Demonstrates and understands the movement concept of getting into open space in invasion games
